Belanja-A-Meal (BAM)

This project by the Woodlands Digital Office provides meals to low-income beneficiaries. Donors sponsor meals valued at $4, which recipients can redeem at participating stalls across Woodlands.

BAM not only feeds those who need it, but also directly supports hawkers in Woodlands, who continue to see lowered traffic as the economic effects of Covid-19 continue.

When it began in 2020, BAM was funded largely by direct donations to individual stalls. Over time, we noticed an occasional need to re-balance the donations, as stores which saw the most demand didn’t necessarily receive the most donations. Project MPower is addressing this need by raising funds for donations where they are most needed.
